Chapter 1
Yuri is a student in the last semester of her undergraduate degree in architecture at
Chung-Ang University.
She is 23 years old. She is a cheerful girl and sees everything beautiful in life. She lives happily with her family. She has a wonderful fiancé who always pampers her, she always smiles when she thinks of him. He is currently waiting for her in Sydney to start a new life with her. After completing this university year, she will travel to Sydney to marry him.
Yuuri smiled happily as she looked at the bouquet of roses on her desk. How beautiful life is, perfect!
Suddenly the door to her room opened, and her sister entered, holding the phone in her hands.
"What's up? Why are you so excited?" Yuri asked her sister.
"Unni, a call from your fiancé!" She nodded and gave her the phone.
"Give it to me!" Yuri said and quickly grabbed the phone.
While Yuri was talking to her fiancé, a smile did not leave her lips.
After Yuri hung up...
"What was he talking about?" Her sister asked her impatiently.
After Yuri put down the phone she said, "He said he had bought the plot of land on which we will build our own house, my dream house, a house where I can enjoy the fresh air, where I can smell the fresh eucalyptus trees. Oh my God, I can't wait to see that. He will send me the house planner so I can change what I want to change. He is really dignified." Yuri was bragging about her perfect and wonderful fiancé.
"Unni, you are a very lucky woman," her sister said with a smile.
"Of course I am. Now can you excuse me? I have to study hard to pass the exam next month. I want to finish the semester this year so that I can travel to Sydney as soon as possible," Yuri said and then winked her sister.
"Okay. Don't forget to come down for dinner in a little while
. Now go."
Suddenly the phone rang again, it was Jessica who was her best friend. She was asking her to go with her to the party tonight.
"Come on, Yuri. It is not good to keep yourself closed in your room while you are studying. You need some refreshment. I really wanted to go to this party but my mom wouldn't let me go alone," Jessica said.
"But I have an important exam next month and I haven't prepared for it yet." Yuri replied trying to find an excuse.
"next month? You still have 30 days to prepare for it. Just for tonight, okay? It's my friend's birthday party, Hyorin, you know her, right? I can't not go." Jessica's voice was gentle as she begged her to go with her.
Yuri sighed, she really meant it when she said she should study. But she couldn't disappoint her friend either. She sighed again and said, "Okay, you won. But promise me we will be home before midnight."
She could hear Jessica cheering on the other end of the line. "Thank you, Yuri. You are the best. I will order to pick you up at seven o'clock."
The two arrived at the hotel bar at
7:25 PM.
Yuri frowned and then turned to Jessica and whispered to her, "You didn't tell me we were going to a bar. Are you sure this is the place?" Jessica approached Yuri and said, "This is not a bar, little lady. Well look, it's a five-star hotel and the party is in the hotel's club." She smiled broadly as she looked at Yuri.
"Whatever, but we'll be leaving before midnight. I don't know why but I feel like something bad is going to happen in this place." Yuuri said uneasy.
"Come on, Yuri, you need a break. Let's enjoy this night away from books and studies." Jessica held Yuri's hand and they both walked into the hotel bar.
There was a young man in the corner of the club sitting at a table with a group of his friends, smoking his cigarette and drinking a glass of wine. At 26, he was as handsome as those stars we used to see on TV, with long, uncut dark hair and an unshaven face. His physique made every woman he saw could not take her eyes off him, and he seemed aware of the ability of his appearance to attract the attention of any of the opposite sex.
He saw the two girls who had just entered the club. One of them caught his attention, and he watched her in astonishment for a while: her long black hair was pulled back, she was not wearing any make-up but her skin was perfectly spotless, her soft rosy lips. She wasn't very glamorous, but she was very attractive. There was something about her that caught his attention, maybe because of her pretty eyes or maybe it was just her figure in the blue dress she was wearing.
He took a sip of his drink as he looked at her. He had to find a way to get to know her. His friend patted his shoulder and said to him with a wide smile, "What are you looking at, man? New prey?
"You know, huh?" he replied with a broad smile.
"Certainly. I know you can't take your eyes off these pretty girls. Who captured your heart this time?"
His eyes wandered from his friend to the girl in the blue dress. He was pointing at her with his dark brown eyes.
"You mean this girl in the blue dress?"
He nodded his head as he continued to sip his drink and smoke. His eyes did not leave that girl, who was talking to her friend on the other side of the cabaret, even a little. "She has a beautiful smile too," he said to himself.
"This girl is different, she's not your type, man. It's hard to get. Look, since she came she hasn't spoken to or danced with any man. I heard from Hyorin that she's a good girl, I mean she doesn't like to party, doesn't like to drink, and she always stays at home to study hard and she's an architecture student at
Chung-Ang University,"
Jajong whispered in his ear.
"Oh really?" He said surprised as he moderates in his seat. Knowing this worried him. Then he continued, "Looks like it would be a challenge for me to get it. I swear I'll have it tonight."
"Don't be so sure, this time you're going to lose my friend," said one of his friends.
"Do you want to bet on that?" He challenged his friends.
Before his friends could say anything, he got up from the chair and walked over to that girl.
Yuuri was talking to her friends when he came over to her.
She turned to see who was standing next to her, "Oh, hey," she answered briefly, then turned back to her friends.
"Can I sit here?" He asked her, trying to get close to her.
"Of course, it's not my place. You can sit wherever you want." She answered coldly without even looking at him.
"Hm... that's a good welcome," he said to himself, sarcastically. "Can I know what your name is?" He asked her, trying to get her attention.
Yuri felt annoyed, so she turned to him and said, "Yuri," he smiled at her with a dazzling smile, but Yuri didn't care. He took a deep breath and held her hand, "Let's dance. This is my favorite song."
Yuri frowned and tried to retrieve her hand from his, "Get away from me, I don't want to dance with you. Go find another girl besides me.
Their eyes met. He wasn't bad, on the contrary, he was handsome despite his long messy hair.
"Just one song, or are you afraid of me?" "Isn't it?" he said cautiously.
Yuri looked at him with anger and decided to accept the challenge, "Who said I was afraid of you? I, Kwan Yuri, have never been afraid of someone like you." He
smiled to himself and took her to the dance floor. He winked at his friends who were watching him from the other side of the dance floor. Jaejoong looked at him in disbelief.
Yuri had to admit that he was a good dancer. He smiled at her again, but she only looked at him with a crude facial expression.
"Yuri, what a beautiful name, beautiful as his companion" He tried to praise her sincerely while they were dancing.
"Just shut your mouth and finish the dance!" Yuri replied.
groan from the inside. She was beautiful with sparkling eyes. He sighed again and continued dancing with her
